About TVP files
The .TVP extension acts as a container for three distinct, proprietary data types, often creating confusion for users trying to open them.
Most commonly, a .TVP file contains traffic count data generated by TrafficViewer Pro. These files store raw census data from road tube counters and are notoriously difficult to work with because they are binary-encoded. Users typically need to convert this raw data into CSV or XLSX formats to perform analysis in Microsoft Excel or create reports in PDF format. Without the specific TrafficViewer Pro software, the data appears as gibberish.
Alternatively, your file might be a Desktop Profile used by NVIDIA nView Desktop Manager. These files save window positions and monitor settings (often for complex setups like AutoCAD workstations). While these are intended to be imported directly into the nView software, users often attempt to convert them to XML or TXT to inspect configuration scripts or debug display issues.
Finally, in professional sports analysis, .TVP files serve as video playlists for Catapult Thunder (formerly XOS Thunder). These proprietary playlists link to video assets but do not contain the video itself, making them unplayable in standard media players like QuickTime.
Convert.Guru analyzes your TVP file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
Users also converted TVPP, MP4, NVU, NVV, CG and RVP files.
