About T2C files

A .t2c file is a proprietary TCP/Com Configuration File used to store settings for mapping physical or virtual serial ports (RS232/RS485) to TCP/IP networks. These files define critical operational parameters such as COM port numbers, baud rates, IP addresses, and parity bits. The primary software used to manage and execute these files is TCP-Com, developed by TAL Technologies. The main disadvantage of the .t2c format is its strictly proprietary nature. It is heavily tied to a specific legacy software ecosystem. Users often need to access these files to audit network configurations, migrate to different serial-to-ethernet hardware, or troubleshoot port conflicts. Without the original software installed, the file is functionally useless for network routing and cannot be processed by standard web browsers or generic network management tools. To make the data accessible, converting the .t2c file to a standard text format like TXT, XML, or CSV is highly recommended. This extracts the readable configuration parameters (like IP and COM mappings) but will lose the ability to be directly imported back into TCP-Com as a functional, ready-to-run profile. Because this is a closed, proprietary configuration format, standard online converters fail to process it. Only the original software can properly read or export the structured routing data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying plain-text or embedded format, viewing or extracting the configuration data may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your T2C file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The T2C Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our T2C converter.
