The .SN3 file is a proprietary digital note format created by the legacy Samsung S Note application, primarily used on older Galaxy Note devices and tablets. These files act as containers (often structured similarly to ZIP archives) that store a mix of vector handwriting, typed text, voice recordings, and embedded photos.
For most users, the .SN3 format presents a significant accessibility challenge: it is a "walled garden" format designed to exist only within the Samsung ecosystem. Opening these files on a Windows PC or Mac is notoriously difficult because the dedicated desktop viewer is discontinued, and modern Samsung Notes apps often struggle to import them directly without an intermediate conversion step.
