About SLO files

The .SLO file extension primarily functions as a Truecaller call history backup or a System Status Application log file for Avaya IP Office. Truecaller relies on this format to locally store a user's call logs, contacts, and message history. Conversely, Avaya uses it to record diagnostic screens and system statuses via their SSAViewer application. To natively open these files, users are strictly tied to the originating software: the Truecaller mobile app or Avaya's proprietary SSAViewer. The primary disadvantage of the .SLO format is its proprietary, closed ecosystem. You cannot natively read a Truecaller .SLO backup on a PC, nor can you easily parse Avaya diagnostic logs in standard text editors like Notepad++. The files are often encoded or compiled as binary databases, making them incredibly frustrating for users who simply want to read their own data or export call histories for legal or personal records. The ideal conversion targets for these files are standard data formats like CSV, TXT, or PDF. Converting to these universally supported formats makes the data readable across web browsers and spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel. However, because .SLO is a closed, proprietary format, standard online converters often fail to process it. Usually, only the original software can properly read or export the data. Fortunately, convert.guru provides a pragmatic workaround. Just drag and drop your .SLO file to identify the format, view it, and convert it when possible. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your SLO file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted SLO9 and D2R files.

The SLO Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our SLO converter.
