The primary disadvantage of the .SJD format is its highly proprietary and legacy nature. It is a closed ecosystem. Files cannot be opened by standard web browsers, modern image viewers, or standard graphic design software. Sharing an .SJD file with family members or sending it to a commercial printer is impossible without first exporting it.
