About SC45 files

A .sc45 file is a legacy development project file created by SuperCard, a Macintosh multimedia authoring environment. It stores user interface layouts, SuperTalk scripts, vector graphics, and embedded media assets. Originally opened and compiled using SuperCard by Solutions Etcetera, this format is heavily tied to older Apple operating systems.

This format has major disadvantages for modern users. It is a closed, proprietary, and obsolete file type. The software requires older versions of macOS to run, and the files are completely unsupported by modern web browsers or standard text editors. Users typically need to convert this file to extract their old scripts to TXT, graphics to PNG, or sounds to WAV to migrate their legacy projects to modern engines like LiveCode.

Because .sc45 is a proprietary binary format, it is extremely difficult to open or convert. Standard online converters fail because they lack the specific parsing logic to understand SuperCard's internal database structure. Often, only the original SuperCard software can properly read or export the structured data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your SC45 file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
