Extract text from Spike2 and MarSurf files (S2R)

Generated by Cambridge Electronic Design (CED) Spike2, this file acts as a "sidecar" to the actual biological data files (SMR or .SMRX). It does not contain the raw recording data; instead, it stores the display configuration, such as active cursor positions, window layouts, color settings, and channel visibility states.
The Problem: Users often attempt to convert the .S2R file believing it holds their experimental data, only to find it contains small binary configuration strings. The actual data resides in the accompanying SMR file.

Used by Mahr metrology devices (like MarSurf XR 1 or PS 10), this is a proprietary binary file storing surface roughness profiles (Ra, Rz values) and raw profilometer graphs.
