About RZK files
An .RZK file functions as a proprietary security key or password storage file used by legacy software developed by the Slovenian company Red Zion. Specifically, it operates as either a Red Zion Key File used to copy-protect digital e-books (RZB files) or a File Crypt Password File that stores decryption passwords for encrypted text documents (RZX files) locked by the Red Zion File Crypt application.
These files are highly proprietary and tied to obsolete software from the late 2000s. Without the original File Crypt program or Red Zion E-book reader, it is extremely difficult to decipher the keys or recover the locked documents. Furthermore, because these are internal security tokens rather than standard documents, they cannot be opened directly by modern web browsers, office suites, or standard document viewers.
While you cannot convert an encryption key into a standard PDF or Word document, converting the file to TXT, HEX, or BASE64 is highly recommended. These formats allow developers or users to inspect the raw data and manually recover the stored password strings that might be necessary to unlock an old archive.
Because this file format is closed and obsolete, standard online converters will simply fail to process it. Often only the original Red Zion software can properly read or apply the data. If our analysis detects an embedded plain text password or a supported underlying format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your RZK file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The RZK Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our RZK converter.
