About RTSTN files
The .RTSTN file format is a proprietary configuration file used by Audials software, such as Audials One and Audials Radio. It stores metadata, connection settings, and streaming URLs for internet radio stations. The primary software designed to natively open these files is Audials One.
This format is highly restrictive and designed for a closed ecosystem. Because it is proprietary, users cannot natively import .RTSTN files into standard media players like VLC or Windows Media Player. It typically requires an active installation of Audials software to function. A major point of confusion is that the file does not contain actual audio data - it only contains the streaming configuration. This is why standard online audio converters fail immediately when trying to process it.
The most practical conversion targets are plain text playlist formats like M3U, PLS, or TXT. By extracting the raw streaming URL from the proprietary wrapper, you can listen to the station in any standard media player without being locked into specific software.
Because this is a closed, proprietary format, standard online converters cannot process it. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying streaming link, viewing or extracting the URL may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your RTSTN file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
