About RRS files
The .RRS file extension primarily serves as a proprietary binary state file, most commonly used as a game save file for the classic racing game Road Rash by Electronic Arts or as a data recovery scan session file by tools like R-Studio Data Recovery and Remo Recover. The biggest disadvantage of the .RRS format is its rigid, closed-source nature. It is not supported by standard operating systems or web browsers. For data recovery users, this file holds the sector-by-sector map of a scanned disk, allowing users to pause and resume multi-day hard drive scans without losing progress. However, this means the file is completely useless without the respective recovery software installed on your machine.
