Historically, musicians and charters created these files using a specialized compiler called Magma, often after arranging the tracks in REAPER. The format is entirely proprietary and closed. You cannot play an .rba file in standard media players like VLC. Furthermore, the official Rock Band Network services are permanently offline, making the original testing and deployment pipelines obsolete.
