This format is used by software developers in Embarcadero Delphi environments to create invoice layouts, financial summaries, and database printouts. The .QR2 file stores the visual arrangement of bands, text fields, and data links.
The main disadvantage of the .QR2 format is its proprietary, closed nature. It is not supported by standard web browsers, document viewers, or office suites. Unless you have the exact Delphi application that generated the report or a dedicated QuickReport viewer, the file is essentially useless. Furthermore, if the file is a design template rather than a saved instance, it relies on live database connections that will fail on an external computer.
