Convert PHJ to another file type
To convert PHJ projects to another format, you need PhCNC or other Cad software.
Convert a file to PHJ
To convert other file formats to the "CNC Project File" file type, you need software like PhCNC or a similar tool.
About PHJ files
The .PHJ file is a proprietary PhCNC Project File created by AccurateCNC, Inc. for their printed circuit board (PCB) routing machines. It stores machine settings, routing toolpaths, fiducial recognition parameters, and project configurations needed for manufacturing prototype circuit boards. Users face severe limitations with .PHJ files because they are tightly locked into the PhCNC hardware ecosystem. This makes them impossible to open in standard CAD programs, CAM software, or web browsers. Without the original software license, you cannot view the toolpaths or extract the manufacturing data. If you need to share the board design with a third-party PCB manufacturer, you must export the data to universal industry formats like GBR (Gerber), DXF, or NC (Excellon Drill). Standard online converters fail to process .PHJ files because the format is a closed, undocumented file type. Often, only the original PhCNC software can properly read or export the raw machine data. Our platform analyzes the binary or XML structure to extract readable text, embedded coordinates, and metadata even when conventional conversion fails.
Convert.Guru analyzes your PHJ file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
FAQ
If you want to convert PHJ file to DWG, DXF, DGN, RVT, RFA, SKP, 3DM, STEP, IGES, SAT, X_T or X_B, you can use PhCNC or similar software from the "PCB Prototyping Machine Toolpaths" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert SLDASM, DGN, PRT, IAM, X_B, CATPRODUCT, SLDPRT, RVT, ASM, DWG, CATPART or DXF files to PHJ, try PhCNC or another comparable tool in the "PCB Prototyping Machine Toolpaths" category.
The PHJ Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our PHJ converter.
