About PDAS files
A .pdas file is a legacy PDAStore Data Store File developed by hfrmobile for older mobile devices. It primarily functions as a secure database to store sensitive user data, such as passwords, PIN codes, and secure notes on Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) and early smartphones. This is a closed, proprietary database format. Its main disadvantage is that it requires the original PDAStore software, which is no longer actively maintained or supported by modern operating systems. The internal data is usually encrypted or structured in a proprietary way, making it completely inaccessible to modern web browsers, standard text editors, or modern database tools. Users typically need to convert this file to migrate old passwords and notes to modern formats like .CSV, .TXT, or standard .XML so they can import them into contemporary password managers like Bitwarden or 1Password. Because .pdas is an obsolete and proprietary format, standard online converters almost always fail to process it. Usually, only the original software can properly read or export the encrypted data.

The PDAS Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our PDAS converter.
