About PCSAV files
A .pcsav file stores the player's progress in the PC version of the video game Mass Effect 2, developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. It contains crucial gameplay data, including the character's stats, inventory, relationships, and specific story choices (plot flags).
You can load these files natively using the Mass Effect 2 game client or modify them using community-built tools like Gibbed's Save Editor.
This format is a closed, proprietary binary file. You cannot read or edit it using standard software like Notepad or web browsers. If you try to alter the raw hex data manually, you will break the internal mathematical checksum, which instantly makes the save file invalid and unplayable.
Standard document conversion is impossible here. The most common 'conversion' path is migrating the .pcsav file into Mass Effect 3, which reads this format natively to carry over your previous story choices.
Because .pcsav is highly proprietary, standard online converters fail to process it. Only the original game engine or specialized community save editors can properly read or export the player data.
Convert.Guru analyzes your PCSAV file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
