About OPLC files

The .OPLC file format is a proprietary image file created by Nokia for their legacy mobile phones. It stores an "Operator Logo," a small monochrome bitmap graphic designed to replace the default text-based network carrier name on the device's home screen.

This format is severely outdated and closed-source. It was engineered strictly for low-resolution, black-and-white LCD screens using legacy synchronization software like the Nokia PC Suite. Because the encoding is proprietary and completely abandoned, modern operating systems, image viewers, and web browsers cannot natively open or display .OPLC files. Attempting to use the original software today requires running decades-old programs on virtual machines.

To view or use these graphics today, you must convert the .OPLC file to a standard web-safe format like PNG, GIF, or BMP. Conversion will perfectly preserve the pixel-art nature of the image, as the original data merely consists of binary black-and-white grid information.

Because it is an obscure, discontinued format, standard online converters often fail to process it. If our engine detects standard embedded bitmap data, we can instantly extract the vintage logo into a usable PNG.

Convert.Guru analyzes your OPLC file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
