About NWP files
The .NWP file extension is primarily associated with Nintex Workflow, a leading process automation platform for Microsoft SharePoint and Office 365. These files function as portable compressed packages - technically ZIP archives - that contain the XML definitions, configuration logic, and metadata required to transfer workflows between environments (e.g., from Development to Production). A common difficulty for users is the "black box" nature of these files; without a running Nintex environment, the logic inside is inaccessible, making it difficult to audit, document, or version-control the workflow externally. Additionally, version mismatches (e.g., importing a Nintex 2013 export into a Nintex for Office 365 environment) frequently trigger compatibility errors.
For Nintex users, the most practical "conversion" is renaming the file extension from .NWP to ZIP, which allows you to extract and view the underlying XML code in any text editor. For users dealing with legacy 3D data, an .NWP file may instead be an Autodesk Navisworks Presenter Material Palette. These legacy binary files store material definitions (textures, lighting) for older versions of Navisworks (pre-2015) and are often incompatible with modern rendering engines, requiring manual recreation of materials.
Convert.Guru analyzes your NWP file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert NWP file to TXT, RTF, DOC, DOCX, ODT, PAGES, TEX, LATEX, MD, MARKDOWN, LOG or NFO, you can use Nintex Workflow or similar software from the "Workflow Export Package" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert PDF, DOC, ASC, TODO, NFO, MEMO, README, DOCX, JPG, TXT, NOTE or RTF files to NWP, try Nintex Workflow or another comparable tool in the "Workflow Export Package" category.
The NWP Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our NWP converter.
