About NGB files
The .NGB file extension is primarily associated with Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA) data generated by Malvern Panalytical (formerly Malvern Instruments) NanoSight systems. These files are specialized containers - often structured as Microsoft Compound Files (OLE) - that store raw video footage, particle movement statistics, and size distribution graphs from liquid suspension experiments.
Because .NGB files are proprietary binary containers, they cannot be opened by standard office software or media players. Users commonly encounter problems when trying to share results with colleagues who do not have a licensed copy of the NanoSight NTA software installed. The file acts as a "black box," locking away critical experimental metrics like concentration (particles/mL) and mode size. To analyze this data in universal tools like Microsoft Excel or GraphPad Prism, users must convert the internal data streams to CSV or XLSX. For archiving or presentation purposes, converting the generated measurement reports to PDF is the standard workflow to ensure data integrity without requiring the original instrument software.
Convert.Guru analyzes your NGB file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
Users also converted NGB-TAA, NGB350, TRI, ZMES, MXW and TTP files.
FAQ
If you want to convert NGB file to EXE, ISO, BIN, CUE, PAK, WAD, PK3, PK4, BSP, MAP, SAV or DAT, you can use NanoSight NTA or similar software from the "Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis Data" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert MOD, BIN, CFG, SCX, DAT, MPQ, LOG, CUE, INI, EXE, SCM or ISO files to NGB, try NanoSight NTA or another comparable tool in the "Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis Data" category.
The NGB Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our NGB converter.
