These files are primarily generated and managed by Lucidchart, Novamind, and Nevron Software's MyDraw diagramming applications.
Because .NDTX files use a closed format, you face significant limits when trying to use them outside of their native software ecosystem. They require an active, often expensive, subscription to open. You cannot preview them natively in web browsers, Windows Explorer, or macOS Finder. This makes collaborating with external clients or colleagues who lack the exact same software highly frustrating.

For quick web sharing, you can convert them to PNG or JPG, though you will lose the ability to scale the image without quality loss, and all interactive vector data will be flattened.
This file format is very difficult to open or convert directly. The data structure is usually a compressed archive containing highly specific, software-dependent XML coordinates. Because of this, often only the original software can properly read or export the visual data.
