About MTFF files
A .MTFF file is a proprietary data report generated by MadgeTech environmental data loggers. These hardware devices record continuous time-series data such as temperature, humidity, pressure, and shock for industrial, medical, and food processing applications.
To open and manage these files, you rely on the official MadgeTech 4 Data Logger Software. The main disadvantage of the .MTFF format is its strict proprietary lock-in. Files cannot be natively opened in standard spreadsheet software, web browsers, or statistical tools. Sharing raw .MTFF files with clients, stakeholders, or regulatory auditors causes significant friction, as the recipient must install specialized third-party software just to view the temperature or environmental readings.
Users typically need to convert .MTFF files into CSV or XLSX to analyze the data in Microsoft Excel or custom scripts, or into PDF for immutable compliance reporting. Note that converting to plain text formats like CSV will extract the raw numeric data perfectly but will discard the graphical charts generated inside the MadgeTech interface.
Because this file format is closed and highly specialized, standard online converters fail to process it. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or extracting the raw data may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your MTFF file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The MTFF Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our MTFF converter.
