The .LRG file extension has three distinct uses, making it a highly fragmented format. Most commonly, it is a Dynamic Report file generated by Logo Yazılım enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. These files store structured business data and reporting layouts. The second most common use is a Linear Regression Graph created by the LinReg 2.0 statistical software. Finally, a small percentage of files are obsolete xRes Bitmap Images created by legacy Macromedia software.
Opening an .LRG file is extremely difficult for standard users. The primary disadvantage is that these formats are proprietary and closed-source. You cannot open Logo Yazılım reports without an expensive, active subscription to their specific ERP system. LinReg graphs are locked to a specific, outdated statistical tool. Similarly, Macromedia xRes files are unsupported by modern image editors. Sharing an .LRG file with a client or colleague is usually pointless, as they will lack the specialized software required to read it.
