The .LLV file extension primarily represents a License file used by Locklizard Safeguard secure PDF viewer software. These files act as digital keys - containing encrypted permissions and decryption credentials - rather than containing the actual document content. A common point of confusion is users attempting to convert an .LLV file to PDF or DOCX expecting to see their document; however, the .LLV is merely the 'key' that unlocks a separate PDC (protected document) file.
