About LILITH files
A .LILITH file is a user document, image, or system file that has been locked and encrypted by the Lilith ransomware. First detected in 2022, this malicious software targets 64-bit Windows machines, aggressively terminating running programs to lock as many files as possible. It appends the .LILITH extension to the original filename. No legitimate software uses this file format. It is entirely a product of cyber extortion. Attackers typically leave a Restore_Your_Files.txt ransom note in affected folders, demanding cryptocurrency in exchange for a decryption tool. You cannot simply convert a .LILITH file back to its original format (like PDF or DOCX) using a standard file converter. The file's underlying data has been mathematically scrambled using strong cryptographic APIs. The only reliable way to recover your data is by restoring from an offline backup or using an official decryption tool if one becomes available through initiatives like the No More Ransom project. Security experts strongly advise against paying the ransom. Because this is a closed, securely encrypted format, standard online converters will fail to process it. Our analyzer can safely inspect the file's raw hex data and headers in your browser, helping you verify the extent of the encryption and confirm whether the file structure has been completely destroyed.
Convert.Guru analyzes your LILITH file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
