The .LGX file extension most commonly represents a Logi Analytics Report Definition File. These files store the structural framework, database queries, and configuration data for business intelligence dashboards generated by Logi Info. Because they are formatted in standard XML, they contain human-readable tags but rely entirely on the Logi server engine to render the actual visual charts. Another significant use case for the .LGX extension is as a Gerber PCB fabrication data file. These contain 2D vector data and machine commands used by Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software like CAM350 to manufacture printed circuit boards. In rare cases, the extension is also used for game models by Live2D.
A major disadvantage of .LGX files is their strict dependency on specialized software. Opening a Logi report natively requires an expensive enterprise BI infrastructure, while PCB layer files demand professional EDA tools. Users often need to convert these files to standard XML or TXT to audit report parameters without a Logi license, or to PDF to share raw dashboard structures and manufacturing layouts with external clients.
