About LDM files
An .LDM file is a Logical Data Model file utilized to define database structures, entities, and relationships independently of a specific database management system (DBMS). It is also notoriously used as an extension for files maliciously encrypted by Conti or LockBit Green ransomware. To view or convert legitimate modeling files, users rely on SAP PowerDesigner. You need to convert these files because the .LDM format is proprietary, highly specialized, and requires an expensive enterprise license to open. Without the software, sharing database schemas with clients or non-technical stakeholders is impossible.
