Extract text from Line 6 tone presets (L6T)

To convert other file formats to the "Guitar Amp Preset File" file type, you need software like Line 6 POD Farm or a similar tool.
The .L6T file extension is a proprietary settings format created by Line 6 for their older amp modeling software and hardware, including GearBox and POD Farm. It stores a digital guitar tone preset, which includes specific parameters for virtual amplifiers, speaker cabinets, and effects chains.
A major disadvantage of the .L6T format is that it is completely closed and locked into the Line 6 digital signal processing (DSP) ecosystem. Users frequently encounter compatibility issues, as these older files are incompatible with modern Line 6 processors like the Helix or POD Go, forcing guitarists to recreate their tones manually from scratch. Furthermore, these files do not contain actual audio data, meaning you cannot natively play them back or preview the sound without the exact original software installed.
Because it is a closed, binary format, directly converting an .L6T file to a universal audio preset or another brand's multi-effects patch is impossible. Standard online converters fail to process .L6T files because they mistake them for audio tracks rather than hardware instructions. Converting them to generic audio formats like WAV or MP3 will not work. At best, users may attempt to extract the underlying text data to TXT files to read the raw parameter values.
