About KUIP files

A .KUIP file is a proprietary settings container used to store user interface themes, toolbar layouts, and skin configurations for WPS Office, formerly known as Kingsoft Office. This format is heavily restricted and serves solely to customize the application's visual appearance. The biggest disadvantage of the .KUIP format is its rigid proprietary nature. It is completely locked to the Kingsoft ecosystem and requires a specific software installation to function. Users often mistake this for a document file, but it contains absolutely zero spreadsheet, presentation, or word processing data. Because it is a closed configuration format, standard online document converters will completely fail to process it. While you cannot convert this file into a standard DOCX or PDF document, you can often extract its underlying components. Many UI theme files are actually renamed archives containing structural XML code and PNG graphical icons.
