The .KAG file extension is exclusively associated with King Arthur's Gold, a 2D multiplayer action game developed by Transhuman Design. These files function as proprietary map containers, storing custom level layouts, including tile placements, block types like stone and wood, spawn points, and background elements used by game servers. To open a .KAG file natively, users must utilize the King Arthur's Gold game client or dedicated community-built map editors. The .KAG format is a highly specialized data container. Its main disadvantage is that it is proprietary and cannot be opened by standard text editors or image viewers.
