To convert other file formats to the "Download Link Container" file type, you need software like JDownloader or a similar tool.
About JDC files
A .JDC file is an encrypted container and backup file created by JDownloader, a free download management tool. It securely stores batches of internet download URLs.
Users open and manage these files natively with JDownloader.
The main disadvantage of the .JDC format is that it acts as a black box. The links inside are encrypted to prevent automated web bots from scraping and reporting them. While this protects files from being taken down, it restricts normal users. You cannot open a .JDC file in a standard text editor to see the URLs. Furthermore, if you want to use a different download manager, it will likely not support this proprietary format natively.
To bypass these limits, users often need to convert .JDC files to plain TXT to extract the raw URLs, though this sacrifices the obfuscation. Alternatively, converting them to more universally accepted container formats like DLC (Download Link Container) or CCF (CryptLoad Container File) allows other download software to read the links.
Because of its anti-leech encryption, extracting data from a .JDC file is difficult. Standard online converters fail because they cannot bypass the encryption payload. If our analysis detects standard encryption or a plain-text fallback, viewing the underlying URLs or converting the file may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your JDC file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The JDC Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our JDC converter.
