These malware variants append the extension to victims' files (e.g., document.docx.jcrypt) after locking them with AES algorithms.
These files are fundamentally scrambled ciphertext. They lack standard structural metadata and cannot be read by web browsers, text editors, or operating systems. Opening them requires the legacy JMasters Java Client for legitimate archives, or specialized security software like the Avast Decryption Tool for ransomware payloads.
