About JB2 files

The .JB2 file extension represents a JBIG2 Compressed Image, a specialized format developed by the Joint Bi-level Image Experts Group. JBIG2 achieves compression ratios up to five times better than older Group 4 FAX compression methods by using pattern matching and dictionary-based encoding.
