The .IWDGT file extension represents an iWeb Widget File. These files are web widget packages created by Apple's discontinued iWeb software, which was part of the iLife suite. They contain dynamic web components like countdown timers, media players, or custom HTML snippets used by individuals building personal websites. Historically, these files were opened and managed exclusively with Apple iWeb on older versions of macOS. Users urgently need to convert or extract these files because iWeb is completely obsolete. Apple discontinued it in 2011, and it cannot run on macOS Catalina (10.15) or later due to the removal of 32-bit app support. Furthermore, the .IWDGT format is a proprietary macOS package structure.
