About IDPK files
The .IDPK file is an Adobe InDesign Package for GoLive file. In the mid-2000s, Adobe created this format to let print designers export Adobe InDesign layouts into Adobe GoLive, an obsolete web authoring tool. It stores page structures, text snippets, and embedded images. Originally created by Adobe InDesign CS2 and read by Adobe GoLive CS2. You must convert or extract .IDPK files because Adobe discontinued GoLive in 2008. You cannot open an .IDPK file in modern web browsers, code editors, or even modern versions of Adobe InDesign. The format is closed, proprietary, and heavily outdated. The best approach is to extract the contents to standard formats like ZIP, XML, or TXT. You will lose the original layout integration, but you will recover the raw text and image assets. This file format is difficult to open or convert. Standard online converters fail because it is an undocumented legacy format. Often only the original legacy software can properly read or export the data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your IDPK file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
