About IBRO files

The .ibro file format stores custom-built robot designs for IncrediBots, a classic 2D physics-based sandbox game. Players use the game engine or preservation emulators like BlueMaxima's Flashpoint to build, test, and save these mechanical creations. Users often attempt to convert this file to share designs online, extract structural data, or recreate the robots in other physics simulators. However, the format is highly proprietary and strictly tied to the original game's internal physics engine. It is completely useless outside of that specific software ecosystem and cannot be opened by standard image viewers, document processors, or web browsers. Because it stores basic 2D physics parameters (like joints, shapes, and thrusters) rather than visual media, you cannot directly convert an .ibro to visual formats like JPG or PDF. If you need to parse the raw data, extracting or converting to TXT or JSON might reveal the internal coordinate structure, but the functional, playable robot will be completely lost. This file format is exceptionally difficult to open or convert because only the original software can properly read or export the mathematical data. Standard online converters fail to process it.
