Extract text from HFT files
To convert your HFT file to another format, you need Hancom Office or other Text software.
To convert other file formats to the "Document Template" file type, you need software like Hancom Office or a similar tool.
The .HFT extension presents a unique challenge because it serves two distinct, proprietary ecosystems. Primarily, it functions as a Hangul Word Processor Template created by Hancom Office (the standard office suite in South Korea), acting as a blueprint for standard HWP documents. These files define layout, styles, and formatting but are notoriously difficult to open outside the specific Korean software environment. A secondary but significant use is as a HotDocs Form Template. In this context, the file contains the logic and structure for automated document generation used by legal and banking firms.
The Problem: Both formats are effectively "locked." A Hancom .HFT requires Hancom Office to render, while a HotDocs file needs the HotDocs player or assembler. They are not natively supported by web browsers, Microsoft Word, or standard PDF viewers.
