About HFT files
An .HFT file is primarily used as a document template. It most commonly stores Hangul word processor templates used in South Korea or HotDocs Form Templates used globally for automated legal document generation. Occasionally, it functions as a Scania truck data file used by the HFT-Assistant software. To open the text templates natively, you need Hancom Office or HotDocs. Users frequently need to convert .HFT files because they are locked into expensive or regionally specific proprietary ecosystems. A HotDocs template requires a costly subscription to utilize its automation features, and Hancom software is rarely installed outside of Asia. Furthermore, web browsers cannot render these files natively. The best conversion targets for these templates are DOCX for editing or PDF for universal viewing. However, converting a HotDocs template will permanently strip out the complex automation scripts, leaving only the static boilerplate text. Because these are closed, proprietary formats, standard online converters usually fail to process them. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data. Just drag and drop your file into convert.guru to see what it is and convert it if supported. Even if the file format is difficult to open or convert, convert.guru can still identify the file format, inspect the file, and show raw text or internal content. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your HFT file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The HFT Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our HFT converter.
