About HDMOV files

A .HDMOV file is an Apple QuickTime High-Definition Movie file. It stores high-resolution video and audio data using the proprietary QuickTime container architecture. These files were traditionally created and opened using Apple QuickTime Player. Users face significant challenges with .HDMOV files today because the format is proprietary and outdated. Apple deprecated QuickTime for Windows, making native playback on non-Mac systems difficult without third-party software like VLC media player.
