The primary disadvantage of the .GRINDX format is its proprietary nature. It locks your recipe data into a single, niche piece of software. You cannot open these files natively in web browsers, mobile devices, or standard spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel. This creates a frustrating barrier when you want to share a recipe on community forums or import it into a web-based calculator.
