The .GET file extension is a technical anomaly often representing one of two distinct formats. Primarily, it functions as an Allplan Layout Element, a proprietary internal format used by Nemetschek Allplan. These files contain vector graphics, architectural schematics, or layout definitions specific to Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows. Because they are component files rather than standalone documents, they cannot be opened by standard viewers like Adobe Reader or AutoCAD without the parent software.

Alternatively, in the maker community, a .GET file may be a legacy or proprietary 3D printer file, sometimes associated with slicing data or specific firmware instructions.
