About FRZ files
The .FRZ file extension primarily represents an Insurance policy document file used by FSIG i-Sig software, or a SNES emulator save state utilized by classic emulators like ZSNES and Snes9x. Rarely, it acts as a Locked FormFlow File, an obsolete electronic form format eventually acquired by Adobe. The main disadvantage of .FRZ files is their severely restricted, proprietary nature. Insurance files trap users inside niche agency software and block standard sharing. SNES save states are strictly tied to specific emulator versions and fail to load if transferred to other gaming platforms. Locked FormFlow files are dead formats requiring obsolete 32-bit Windows software. If you have an insurance policy, you must usually convert it to a standard PDF using the original software for standard viewing. For SNES files, our internal data indicates they often utilize internal GZ (GZIP) compression, meaning they can sometimes be extracted into raw hexadecimal memory dumps. Ultimately, this file format is extremely difficult to open or convert because the data is closed, encrypted, or heavily dependent on precise memory architecture. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data. Just drag and drop your .FRZ file onto convert.guru to identify the format, inspect the hex code, and view internal text. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format like GZIP, extraction or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your FRZ file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert FRZ file to EXE, ISO, BIN, CUE, PAK, WAD, PK3, PK4, BSP, MAP, SAV or DAT, you can use Snes9x and FSIG i-Sig or similar software from the "Proprietary Data and Save States" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert MOD, BIN, CFG, SCX, DAT, MPQ, LOG, CUE, INI, EXE, SCM or ISO files to FRZ, try Snes9x and FSIG i-Sig or another comparable tool in the "Proprietary Data and Save States" category.
The FRZ Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our FRZ converter.
