A .fry file is a 3D scene file created for fryrender, a legacy physically-based spectral light simulator. It contains complex 3D geometry, material properties, camera settings, and lighting setups necessary to produce photorealistic images. Developed by RandomControl, this software has largely been superseded by newer engines like Arion.
The format is proprietary and strictly tied to a discontinued rendering engine. Opening a .fry file without the original fryrender application or its specific exporter plugins (often used in host apps like 3ds Max or Cinema 4D) is nearly impossible.
