About EZDRAW files

An .ezdraw file is a vector drawing created by EazyDraw, a technical illustration and graphic design application exclusive to macOS. These files are used for CAD drafting, application interface design, and general vector graphics. The primary software to open these files is EazyDraw by Dekorra Optics. Internally, the vector geometry data is typically structured as readable XML or JSON code rather than compiled binary data. The major disadvantage of the .ezdraw format is its strict platform exclusivity. It is completely locked to the macOS ecosystem and requires a paid software license to render correctly. Standard web browsers, image viewers, and Windows operating systems cannot read it natively. Sharing an .ezdraw file with a client or a Windows user guarantees a compatibility block. To share these graphics outside of the Mac ecosystem, you must convert them. The best target formats are SVG or PDF to retain infinite vector scalability, or PNG for a static raster image. Be aware that complex EazyDraw-specific layer effects or custom technical grids might be flattened during export to standard formats. Because .ezdraw is a closed, proprietary file type, standard online converters often fail to process it. Usually, only the original EazyDraw application can accurately parse the internal node structures and export the visual data without breaking the layout. Just drag and drop your file to convert.guru to identify the format, view its internal text structure, and convert it when possible. Since the underlying framework of modern .ezdraw files uses standard XML or JSON, our tools can inspect the raw text code to help you extract embedded labels or salvage raw vector data points even when a full visual conversion fails.

Convert.Guru analyzes your EZDRAW file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted EZD, PNG, PDF, FH9, FH11 and IPE files.

The EZDRAW Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our EZDRAW converter.
