About ESCOPY files
The .escopy file is a temporary data fragment generated by the ES File Explorer file manager app for Android devices. It is created automatically when a user initiates a file copy or move operation within the app.
Unfortunately, this format presents significant disadvantages. If a file transfer is interrupted, the app crashes, or the device runs out of storage space, the incomplete .escopy file remains abandoned on the storage drive. Because it is essentially a raw, truncated piece of the original file, it is completely unusable in its current state. It is proprietary to the app's internal caching process, requires no specific subscription, but is entirely unsupported by web browsers, media players, or standard document viewers.
Because this file is usually an incomplete byte stream lacking proper file headers, standard online converters will fail to process it. To recover the data, users typically try renaming the file to remove the .escopy extension, reverting it to its original format (like MP4 or JPG). However, if the file is severely truncated, even renaming will not fix it. Even though this format is difficult to open, our system can inspect the internal hex or text structure. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format header, data recovery or viewing may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your ESCOPY file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
