A .DRU file is a Design Rules file used by Autodesk EAGLE for printed circuit board (PCB) design. Engineers use these files to run a Design Rule Check (DRC) to ensure their layout can actually be built by a specific factory. You can open and edit this file using Autodesk Fusion 360, which now includes EAGLE. The main disadvantage of a .DRU file is its strict software dependency.
