About DJVUS files

The .djvus file extension is appended to user files by the STOP/Djvu ransomware family. When a system is infected, the malware targets common documents, images, and databases, encrypting them with strong cryptographic algorithms before appending the .djvus extension. These are forcefully locked data containers designed for extortion.

Victims desperately need to restore these files to their original formats, such as DOCX, JPG, or PDF. However, the current format is entirely disadvantageous: it is inaccessible, unreadable, and holds user data hostage. Standard file converters cannot read the scrambled data structure. Security organizations like No More Ransom and software vendors like Emsisoft provide dedicated decryption tools that can sometimes recover the original files if an offline encryption key was used.

Because .djvus is a maliciously encrypted format, standard online converters fail to process it. While we cannot decrypt ransomware payloads without the private key, our analysis can expose plain text metadata or embedded ransomware ID markers to help you verify the malware variant and seek the correct decryption tool.

Convert.Guru analyzes your DJVUS file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
