About CRYPTED files
The .crypted file is a secure data container generated by the file encryption tool inside Ashampoo WinOptimizer. Users create these files to protect sensitive documents from unauthorized access. The main disadvantage of this format is vendor lock-in. It is proprietary and heavily encrypted. Standard archiving utilities like 7-Zip or WinRAR cannot extract its contents. You cannot view the file without the original software and the correct password. Users usually want to extract the hidden data to retrieve standard formats like PDF, DOCX, or JPG. This file format is difficult to open or convert because it is a closed, proprietary container designed specifically to stop unauthorized access. Standard online converters fail because they lack the decryption key and the internal software logic. Often only the original software can properly read or export the data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your CRYPTED file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert CRYPTED file to BASE64, HEX, BIN, ENC, CRYPT, AES, DES, RSA, PGP, GPG, ASC or KEY, you can use Ashampoo WinOptimizer or similar software from the "Secure Data Encryption" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert CER, BIN, PEM, DER, KEY, P7S, PFX, ENC, P12, BASE64, P7B or HEX files to CRYPTED, try Ashampoo WinOptimizer or another comparable tool in the "Secure Data Encryption" category.
The CRYPTED Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our CRYPTED converter.
