Convert CIRCUIT to another file type

To convert CIRCUIT circuit designs to another format, you need KTechlab or other Cad software.

Convert a file to CIRCUIT

To convert other file formats to the "Electronic Design Automation" file type, you need software like KTechlab or a similar tool.

About CIRCUIT files

The .circuit file format is a specialized Electronic Design Automation (EDA) file used primarily by KTechlab to store electronic circuit schematics, simulations, and microcontroller designs. KTechlab is an open-source IDE for electronic and microcontroller circuit design. A major disadvantage of the .circuit format is its proprietary, application-specific nature. Files cannot be opened natively by web browsers, standard image viewers, or mobile devices. This makes sharing designs with clients, manufacturers, or colleagues who do not have a Linux environment running KTechlab extremely challenging. To collaborate effectively, users usually need to convert these schematics to universal visual formats like .PDF, .SVG, or .PNG, or extract the data into standard netlists for use in other EDA software like KiCad. This file format is difficult to open or convert online because standard converters do not parse KTechlab's unique internal schema. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the visual data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your CIRCUIT file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The CIRCUIT Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our CIRCUIT converter.
