About CIQ files
The .CIQ file is a proprietary binary data file generated by the Fluke Networks CableIQ Qualification Tester. It stores diagnostic results, cable length, wiremap data, and bandwidth qualification metrics for network cabling installations. To open these files natively, technicians must use the proprietary CableIQ Reporter software provided by Fluke Networks.
This is a highly restrictive format. .CIQ files are locked to the manufacturer's ecosystem. You cannot open them directly in a web browser, standard spreadsheet software, or a regular text editor. This creates major bottlenecks when sharing proof-of-performance reports with clients who do not have the specialized software installed. The best workaround is exporting or converting these reports to PDF for client viewing or CSV for raw data analysis.
Because .CIQ is a closed, proprietary format, standard online converters fail to process it. Usually, only the original CableIQ Reporter software can properly read or export the diagnostic data. However, you can drag and drop your .CIQ file onto convert.guru to see what it is. We will inspect the file and attempt to extract plain text or internal content. If our analysis detects supported embedded data, viewing or limited conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your CIQ file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The CIQ Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our CIQ converter.
