The .ccgame file is a compiled game archive created with Microsoft XNA Game Studio. It was primarily used to package and distribute indie games via the XNA Creators Club for playback on the Xbox 360, Windows PCs, and Zune media players.
This format is obsolete. Microsoft officially discontinued the XNA Framework in 2013, making these files incredibly difficult to execute on modern operating systems without hunting down legacy redistributable packages. The biggest limitation is that the format acts as a closed container. Users cannot easily inspect or modify the game assets natively because the internal data is usually compiled into proprietary XNB files.
Because a .ccgame file is fundamentally just a renamed ZIP archive, the best conversion target is ZIP or 7Z.
