About BITSBOARD files
A .bitsboard file is a custom learning board exported from the Bitsboard educational application for Apple iOS. Teachers and parents use these files to share custom flashcards, games, and quizzes containing images, text, and voice recordings.
The main disadvantage of this format is its severe platform restriction. It requires a compatible iPad or iPhone running the specific Bitsboard app to open normally. It is a proprietary container, which means standard web browsers and document editors cannot natively read or display the flashcard data. If you move away from the iOS ecosystem, your educational materials appear locked and inaccessible.
Fortunately, a .bitsboard file is simply a standard ZIP archive in disguise. Converting this file typically means extracting its internal assets rather than translating the interactive game logic. When you extract the contents, you can recover the raw JPG or PNG images, MP3 audio files, and internal data structures used to build the flashcards.
Because it uses a custom extension, most standard online converters fail to process it. Our system identifies the underlying ZIP signature, allowing you to bypass the iOS requirement, inspect the file, and extract the embedded media files directly.
Convert.Guru analyzes your BITSBOARD file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The BITSBOARD Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our BITSBOARD converter.
