Extract text from Installer update files (AIU)

An .AIU file is an Advanced Installer Updates Configuration File. It is used by Windows desktop applications built with Advanced Installer to manage automatic software updates. These files are typically hosted on a developer's web server. When a user launches a program, the software downloads the .aiu file to check if a new version is available, reading parameters like the new installer's URL, version number, and bug fixes.
The main disadvantage of the .aiu format is its rigid, highly specific structure. Although it is stored as plain text, its syntax - starting with a mandatory ;aiu; header - is strictly proprietary. It is designed solely for machine reading by Caphyon's updater.exe tool. If a developer needs to review the update parameters or share the configuration with a team, the file is functionally useless without the original software or a code editor.
To make the data accessible, the best target formats are standard text or document files. Converting the file to TXT or INI allows any basic editor to read the configuration. For documentation or sharing purposes, converting the code to PDF is highly recommended. You will not lose any data, but you will strip away the file's executable association with the update tool.
